Significance
For Adolescents: immediate access to action-oriented tools, even when referrals and therapy are delayed.
For Parents: a structured way to support their teen's mental health immediately, a road map.
For Providers: a path to move beyond "screen and refer," towards "screen and support," a tangible, action oriented intervention within the visit.
For Health Systems: a scalable approach that improves patient experience, supports population health goals, addresses equity gaps, and potentially reduces downstream utilization from untreated mental health concerns.
Dissemination Activities
This proposal has been submitted for presentation to multiple mental health conferences. I will deliver my first presentation at the International Conference for Mental Health and Well Being in New York on May 5, 2026. I hope to publish the proposal and implementation science in a journal in 2027 and am working on a book for parents about mental health skill building.
